Policy framework across sectors to restore and protect Puget Sound
An introduction to cutting edge modeling of ecosystem services in Puget Sound that puts our region at the forefront
Innovative financing mechanisms for restoring Puget Sound
Collaborative projects that conduct a valuation of ecosystem services of Puget Sound

Background: Ecosystem services — or “work” that nature does for people and the economy, such as clean water and air, flood protection, water purification, carbon sequestration, and fish production — are things that nature does to support our physical, social, and economic well-being. This workshop instructs on nature’s services, their value, and how they can move development decisions toward the restoration and protection of Puget Sound’s ecosystems.

Earth Economics is organizing the first-ever large scale valuation of our region’s natural capital as a tool to raise awareness of the fundamental connections between healthy ecosystems and a healthy economy. You and your organization are most welcome to participate. Please join to us to help develop the tools we need to bring Puget Sound back to health!
