Rowan Schmidt

Program Director for Finance and Investment Strategies

Rowan Schmidt leads valuations of city and utility natural infrastructure to inform investment decisions; works to advance national accounting and disclosure standards to recognize city and utility natural infrastructure; and focuses on expanding finance mechanisms for natural infrastructure and improving asset management approaches for natural infrastructure. Rowan has led studies to inform local green infrastructure projects, educate the public and policymakers, support bond measures for open space, bring in federal dollars following a major natural disaster, and advance systemic policy change at a national level. Rowan also advises a number of federal agencies on natural resources accounting, valuation, and asset management.
