Building on her undergraduate degree in Political Science, Master’s in International Forestry and work experience engaging the public in conservation, Abby is enthusiastic about pursuing methods to support local communities in efforts to sustainably manage their natural ecosystems for environmental, social, cultural, and economic benefits.

Abby joined Earth Economics as an Intern supporting community-based organization projects and was then brought on as a contract Research Assistant. In this role, she has supported ecosystem service valuations, benefit-cost analyses, industry studies, and more. Prior to joining Earth Economics, she worked as a Research Intern for the World Resources Institute’s Forest Governance and Policy team, and as Lead Educator for an Atlanta-based conservation non-profit. She has done field work in Sumatra on the ecological impacts and community perceptions of local fishing practices.

In her free time, Abby enjoys exploring new escape rooms across Atlanta, sampling world cuisines, and playing with her cat.
