Ecological Economics & Watershed Restoration

Project Directors Olivia Molden and Carson Risner will describe how applying ecological economics can be a powerful tool to assess and promote watershed restoration projects. The first of a two-part series, this presentation will provide information on when, how, and why to integrate ecological economics into watershed restoration projects.

This session (2-3pm ET) will feature guest Groundwork Affiliates who will share how they used valuation to make case for support for major infrastructure projects.

Part of the series Advancing Nature-Based Solutions Through Economic Valuation, hosted by the Urban Waters Learning Network, an initiative of the River Network and Groundwork USA.

By translating the benefits of watershed restoration and green infrastructure into measurable metrics (including dollar values), practitioners can highlight a range of project benefits, including cost-effectiveness.

Register here.

Recordings of the workshops will be available to all registrants, and will become available on River Network’s website at the conclusion of the series.
